Regulations for the 30th MARVEJOLS MENDE RACE

  • Registrations 
Registration fee is 11 Euros (13 Euros from July 1-st to July 21th 10 pm) by cheque to 'Course Marvejols Mende, the number of participants being limited to 5000. There will be no registration on Sunday morning before the race. There will be no registration by phone

* On Saturday from 9 hr till 12 hr - 14 hours(hr) at 19 hr - 20. 30 at 22 hr

The remaining numbers will be given in Marvejols only, on Sunday morning
  • How to go to Marvejols 
Free transport will be assumed by the association from 6.10 am. Come back to Marvejols at 2 pm
  • Start of the race  
9 pm sharp. Participants will have to be present on the starting line at 8.30 am for the list to be checked and the 200 best runners to be placed.
  • Route 
  • 22,400 km 
  • Food and drinks 
6 points every 3 kms and at  the Arrival.  These 6 points are also First aids points.
  • Medical service 
Runners who are not used to this kind of race should have a medical check up to test their fitness. A medical team (Doctors,  Masseurs,  First-aid specialists) as well as Ambulances  will be available at the arrival
  • Medical certificate 
  Has to be sent with your Registration form
No - Licencied Medical certificate or Compulsory photocopy
Dating less than 1 year
Licencied with another sport Photocopy of your License
Licencied IAFF Photocopy of your License

 A written authorization from the parents will be required for young from 16 to 18 years  and the medical certificate  is compulsory and should be joined to the registration form
  • Clothes
Bags will be supplied in Marvejols with a number on them. They will be carried to Mende and take care of. You will then collect them on arrival, Foirail square.
  • Race for  children 
  • Free registration  fee 


On Sunday , July 21th from 8. 30 am to 9. 20am

-Baby Marathon for children under 11 years race of about of 1 km
-mini Marathon from 12 to 15 years (Benjamin and Small) about 3 km.
For both races : Arrival  ' Place du Foirail'  at Mende.
*Registration fee will be free at  the reception on Friday and Saturday as well as Sunday morning from 7 am to 8. 10am.
A licence or a medical certificate will be required at the registration as well as an authorization from the parents.
*Prices for each participant at the arrival.
*The 3 first of each category will recieve a special price on the podium at 12 am.
  • Children's supervision 
Available in Mende 'Place du Foirail' ('Salle des Associations') from 6. 30am to 12 am.
  • Showers 
Available at town gymnasium ('Allee Piencourt' a Mende).
  • Results 
They will bedisplayed as they come on Sunday. Each runner will recieve the full results as well as extracts from the Monday's Press, and pictures taken by a professional photographer. You can also find them on Our Web Site
  • Controls 
A random anti-doping controls  will take place among the first runners.
  • Insurances 
Organizers have a civil responsabilty contract. Individual Accident Insurance : Licencied runners benefit by the insurance of their License assurance.
Other participants should check that their own insurance is valid.
  • For All 
The commemorative medal as well as a T-shirt offered by our sponsors at the arrival.
  • Prizes
At 4 pm in Mende's hall
* Cups for the best of every category
* Prizes, Lozerian culinary specialities.
Drawing lots of Journeys only for presents in the room.
  • Entertainments  -In Mende
    -In Marvejols
Musical animations (Orchestras, Pénas), throughout the 2 towns and along the route(course). Popular dances, Fireworks and Games on the Podium.
  • Meal after the Race 
  • Sunday at 8 pm. 
Traditional  'Aligot-Party' in the MENDE'S H.BOURILLON school. Animated  with Disc Jockey.
Registration for the meal will be taken only at the withdrawal of the registration numbers in Mende or in Marvejols (1500 meals maximum)
From Midnight 'The Sunday Night Fever' : The City tour in " Town clothes or less.... " . The end of the night   will finished to the Night-Club " Le Pulp ": Free Entrance.
